The Oscars!

The 2017 Oscar Awards were fantastic. They kicked it off with a performance from Justin Timberlake performing his nominated song Can’t Stop The Feelin from Trolls, Jimmy Kimmel was a fantastic host this year and there were tons of political speeches and jokes through out. Sting performed a beautiful song from the nominated Documentary The Jim Foley Story, Auli’i Cravalho and Lin-Manuel Miranda gave an amazing performance from Moana. The show had some pretty shocked star tour guests come through, and Let’s not forget about that MASSIVE mix-up at the end when the wrong movie name was read. Thankfully the La La Land crew was so gracious and made sure the award went to the right film. In case you missed the awards. . . .

The Awards went to:

R.I.P Bill!

16806707_10155623979931002_854906131601807144_n.jpg

Today is a sad day. Bill Paxton known for his roles in Alien, Titanic, Twister, Apollo 13 and most recently his new show Training Day. Has passed away due to surgery complications. He was 61 years old.

Bill Paxton was more then just a celebrity. He was a kind human being. This picture above was when I met Bill in 2014. It was only my third time going to an Expo, and he was the first big time celebrity I had ever met.

I went into the photo op very nervous because I was not sure of how he would be. I had heard some horror stories of how mean or rude celebrities could be. I saw a few people ahead of me go up and he smiled and gave them big hugs and because his line was not extremely long he would talk for a few minutes with every single one of us. When it was my turn he just smiled at me, said “Hi Cutie how are you” and we took our picture. We stood there for probably 5 minutes then discussing his show Big Love which I loved and I talked to him about how acting in tv was different from movies.

When my time was up he gave me another hug and said its always his pleasure to meet fans like me who truly love his work. Pretty sure he told everyone getting a picture with him that day something along those lines but I will forever treasure it.

It was his kindness that led me to keep going to Expo’s and not be so nervous to meet people like him. I give him a lot of credit for helping me get over my fear of meeting celebrities and being able to go after becoming a celebrity journalist because of it.

R.I.P sir. Your kindness helped shape my future and for that I will never forget you!

The Many, Many Trailers of Super Bowl!

The Super Bowl brings us all things football. The things I watch the Super Bowl for however is all the new movie Trailers!

Check out some of the best ones below:

These were only a few of the mega trailers released during the Super Bowl. Fate of the Furious and PotC Dead Men Tell No Tales were probably the most shocking for me. I am trying to understand what makes Dominic Torretto turn on his family especially his wife (as we found out in Fast 7) Lettie. PotC is exciting because we get our first look at Will Turner. We have not heard anything about him since the 3rd installment. Also it has recently been confirmed that Keira Knightly will be making an appearance in the after credit shots. She is returning as Elizabeth Turner (Swann) and is setting up her role in the upcoming 6th PotC film.

What is your favourite trailer? Which movie are you most looking forward to? Let me know in the comments!

Catch Up. . . . .

Some people were a little upset that Arrival was nominated but the main actress of the film, Amy Adams, was not. Other snubs include Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool, Tom Hanks and Sully, and Mark Wahlberg and Kurt Russel for Deepwater Horizon.

The biggest surprise is the Suicide Squad nomination! The film was not well received by critics and was highly criticized by movie goers! For the film to be nominated for Makeup and Hairstyling was highly unexpected.

Another surprise was Lin-Manuel Miranda for Moana. If he wins he will be the youngest person to ever win in his category.

Are you happy with the nominations? Who should have been nominated? Let me know in the comments.

Green Lantern Core is a go!

Green_Lantern_Corps_Logo.jpg

The WB has given a green light (pun intended) and hired screenwriters to kick off the Green Lantern Core!

Its being reported they are setting it around John Stewart. As you know was originally picked by the Guardians to be a back-up Green Lantern to Hal Jordan.

Since screenwriters were announced the internet has been a buzz as to who has the most potential to pull off the perfect John Stewart.

2 current stars are being mentioned the most.

Of course the first name you will see pop up is Idris Elba.

Sadly this is pretty much a no go as Elba is very tied into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Specifically in Thor’s planet of Asgard as Heimdall. He is supposed to appear in Thor: Ragnarok.  Marvel has him locked into a contract until the end of 2018. So he is highly unlikely able to take on DC while still under a Marvel contract.

Next we have Sterling K Brown. He is currently filming This is Us which is one of the hottest new shows on television. He has also been cast by Marvel in the upcoming Black Panther film. The only thing with that is we are not sure who he will be playing or how he is going to fit into the film. So he could still very much be a possibility.

Many others have been listed as well such as Michael B Jordan, Omari Hardwick, Omar Sy, and D.B Woodside.

Who would you want to see head up the Green Lantern Core? Let me know in the comments!

WB is hoping to kick off Green Lantern Core in 2018!

Who will he play?

Peter Dinklage

The one and only Peter Dinklage has been reportedly cast in Avengers: Infinity Wars!

This latest news has everyone buzzing as to who he could be playing.

Reports also say he will be playing a key role!

Story will be updated as more info becomes available!

Do you have a theory as to who he could play? Let me know in the comments below!
